Liposuction

Liposuction is a modern technique for removing fatty tissue by aspiration. Although the procedure sounds relatively simple in concept, special training and skills are required for a safe, successful procedure.

Virtually any part of the body where there is accumulation of unwanted fat is a good candidate for liposuction. In this procedure the surgeon gradually removes unwanted tissue and in the process sculpts the patient's body to the desired shape. This is a delicate, artistic procedure because once the tissue is removed, it cannot be replaced.

This patient had over the years accumulated a substantial amount of fat around her thighs. After battling for some time to remove the "chunks" by non surgical means, she came to us for help. We performed liposuction on her upper thighs with the result shown at right. Notice the new pleasing shape and firmness of her thighs.
