Below you will find a brief description of
what microdermabrasion is and a explanation of the intended
results. However, the best way to get complete answers to
your specific questions is to make a consultation appointment
with our Licensed Medical Esthetician, Mary Hardy, at 281.807.6676.
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion uses sterile micro-crystals to gently
exfoliate the upper layers of the stratum corneum without
anesthesia. By moving a hand piece across the skin, the
procedure delivers a precise stream of crystals onto the
skin's surface; the exfoliated epidermal cells and the crystals
are then suctioned away to reveal a fresh, invigorated skin
surface.
Treatments are provided in a series of approximately
five sessions, usually at one to two-week intervals. Follow-up
care may include monthly maintenance sessions.
